Utube pronunciation of Linear B! You have to check this out if you want to know how to pronounce Linear B! This Utube video is just amazing!![]()
Sappho, spelled (in the dialect spoken by the poet) Psappho, (born c. 610, Lesbos, Greece — died c. 570 BCE). A lyric poet greatly admired in all ages for the beauty of her writing style.
Her language contains elements from Aeolic vernacular and poetic tradition, with traces of epic vocabulary familiar to readers of Homer. She has the ability to judge critically her own ecstasies and grief, and her emotions lose nothing of their force by being recollected in tranquillity.

That was my intention Richard.
Yeah, mine too! It is going to take some time for us to master the pronunciation, but this is a worthwhile endeavour, to say the very least.
Yes Richard, I have seen this before but I wish she would talk a little slower. I have added it to my U tube channel anyway.
Yeah, she sure rattles it off lickety-split! I had a hard time following her too. But if you listen to it piece by piece, say, the syllabary first, then soe words, over and over, it will eventually sink in. That is the way I am going to do it.
